Cleaning Wood Paneling
Imagine my surprise when I read an article published by Eichler Homes about restoring Mahogany Wood Paneling with the Touch of Oranges Wood Cleaner and Touch of Beeswax Wood Preserver!
First let me explain who Eichler Home, between 1949 and 1966, Joseph Eichler's company, Eichler Homes, built over 11,000 homes in nine communities in Northern California and homes in three communities in Southern California.These homes were famous for their Mahogany Paneling., most of the homes had this paneling installed throughout the majority of the home.
These home owners of today, still with these Eichler Homes, needed desperately to clean, revitalize and preserve the finishes, to their amazement, using these great products and simple steps, the paneling looked like the day it was installed 60 years ago.
How to Clean Wood Paneling
1st Step: Use the Touch of Oranges Wood Cleaner to remove any excess dirt, grime, old aerosols, products that have been used over the years on the paneling. Use a clean Terry Cloth Towel to wipe off any oil.
2nd Step: Apply the Touch of Beeswax Wood Preserver to the paneling, if you can let this set on the paneling overnight, this formula has the ability to feed into the wood up to ¼ inch! We are talking really preserving the wood.
3rd Step: Come back and wipe off any excess oil that remains, use a clean Terry Cloth Towel to absorb oil. The paneling will be clean, preserved and have a beautiful luster to the finish. Repeat these steps on Cleaning Wood Paneling about every couple of years.
Note: I have found that I could do the same process on Cleaning my Kitchen Cabinets, Exterior Doors, Water Damage on Bathroom Cabinets and my fine furniture once a year.
Use the Touch Of Oranges and Touch Of Beeswax on all your fine wood. Dry and Damaged wood can look like new once cleaned and sealed with beeswax.
So make sure you are Cleaning Wood Paneling often to protect that wood.
